How to scrapbook everything!
Here's the big secret of how to scrapbook everything:
Be open minded about everything!
That's right, be open minded. Everything, every event, every situation and every person can be scrapbooked.
I have heard countless of people ask me how to scrapbook the birth of my baby or they come to me telling me they have gotten no ideas on how they can use this or that.
But when I actually get them to stop for a moment and let them think outside the box they come up with great ideas on how to scrapbook the birth of their baby or how they can use this or that. They were just so in to the "I can't find a way" mentality that they didn't just stop and think for a second. Just relax.
For instance using the pictures of the baby while it's still in the womb, glueing or stitching some baby socks to the scrapbook or use some flowers and a little bee made of fluff to represent "the flowers and the bees".
I say this time and time again, everything can be used to scrapbook. You can even go through your garbage and find stuff you can use in your scrapbook. Just make sure it doesn't smell too bad (unless that's the kind of scrapbook you're making, a dirty smelly scrapbook of your garbage) You can find wonderful scrapbook material at flea markets and garage sales. Or go to discount stores and look for little objects you can use. Go through your attic and look for some old things you can use that might give a neat twist to your scrapbook.
If a button of your shirt snaps off, consider using it for your scrapbook. Knowing how to scrapbook everything is really just a mentality. A button can be used in hundreds of different ways. You just have to take some time to think of some new ways for that button. Save the greeting cards you receive and use them in your scrapbooks as well.
That way those old greeting cards will receive a second life.
Also when you're at a halt and really can't find a way to scrapbook something, ask some of your friends for some help, usually they can give you some ideas you haven't thought of and if they can't help. Ask a few people at a scrapbooking forum, they'll surely be able to help you out.
