Online scrapbooking is quite similar to digital scrapbooking. The only difference is that you put the scrapbook online with online scrapbooking.
How would you go about putting a scrapbook online? Well first of all you could buy a domain and webhosting to host your scrapbooks. But maybe you just want a place where they can see it and you don't want to spend any money at online services like domains and webhosting.
In that case you can take a look at blogger.com and get a free account there, you'll be able to upload your digital scrapbook, if it isn't too big that is. Since there are upload limitations. You then would have to simply add a picture to your post and as a picture you choose your digital scrapbook.
You could also take a picture or scan your traditional scrapbook made of paper and upload that picture, this in a way is also online scrapbooking.
If you are going to place your scrapbook online, be sure you're not using any copyrighted material because one annoying visitor could ruin it really bad. If every picture you use is a picture you have taken, then all the better.
But if you've used pictures that you found through the internet, be sure that they're copyright free, ask for permission to use them in your scrapbook (usually they'll let you use it when they see it's for a scrapbook)
Also remember that once it's on the internet and someone picks it up and places it somewhere else you can't get it back off the internet.
So whenever you decide to put something on the internet, ask yourself if this is something you wouldn't mind showing other people. There are people with wrong intentions on the internet and they can use your pictures and do wrong things with them like photoshop them for the worst, so remember that as well when putting your scrapbook online.
Online scrapbooking also lets you get involved in the online scrapbooking scene, like scrapbooking forums.
In those forums are lots of fellow scrapbookers who would love to help you out and comment on your latest scrapbooking project. You can get some neat ideas as well while looking at their online scrapbooks.
